Dear partners, friends & companions,
“Schaltzeit” (literally: switching time) is the time between two states of matter.
A little over 12 years ago, Jörg Heuer, Dr. Heinrich Arnold, and Klaus Buß placed their trust in me to become an entrepreneur. I am deeply grateful for that.
Since then, I’ve been able to explore many “playgrounds.” I’ve often been allowed to fall and to experiment. I love inspiration and new challenges! I enjoy creating a mood for the future. I enjoy working directly with people. I love our team and everyone who has accompanied us on our journey.
I’ve learned that any project can succeed if the setup is right & fascination with the new defines the work context. Every assignment must remind us of what is unique. How can we grow personally? What can we do to fill the project with meaning and life?
Given our heavy workload, I often hear the question: Why do you put yourself – or yourselves – through this? “Don’t you want to make some real money for once?” I’d like to answer that question.
Simon Sinek’s three golden business questions assume that outsiders want to understand what a company does from the outside in. The questions are:
- What does your company do?
- How do you do it?
- Why do you do what you do?
Very often, we humans only listen selectively, and after the first question a logical matchmaking process already begins: Is it worth investing more time or not? Yet time is appreciation. It is scarce, but without investing time we miss the most exciting moments. Why do you do this? What drives you?
Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, answer these questions from the inside out. As of today, I can answer the questions of why and how. The what I haven’t been able to define myself yet – it is constantly changing. That is why my job as main switch is never done and always remains exciting. The learning and maturing aren’t over yet.
I look ahead to our 13th year in business with excitement, but also a little surprise. The What is, after all these years, still the perspective we haven’t sharpened – and yet clients entrust us with their projects. In my view, this can only be because we are on the same wavelength as our clients. Or because it reflects the change we accompany our clients through.
A company that exists only to make money creates no social benefit and has no impact. We want to keep making an impact – in our 13th year, too. With the ambition to grow the team. We’re counting on true believers who find their motivation in making things happen. Applications are welcome!
