Strategic foresight offers a wide range of ways to tackle future opportunities and challenges systematically. The German Federal Government is now presenting a study it commissioned from the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, with the aim of acting in a more crisis-proof and future-ready way during the current legislative term.
The methods of strategic foresight – from scenario planning and horizon scanning to futures workshops – aim to bring together different perspectives on future issues and to develop alternative images of the future as well as concrete options for action.
We look forward to attending the event at the Fraunhofer-Forum Berlin on August 23, 2022, and to discussing the study’s impulses and findings as well as the discourse on strategic foresight in government and public administration.
