Crisis? Love?

The year is drawing to a close. Things can hardly go on as they have: COVID, climate change, wars, arbitrary convictions and courageous protests in Iran, austerity and inflation. It has been a year of upheaval. Tune it out – or give hope?

All of these crises are about the shared values our society has worked hard to establish and that are suddenly up for grabs. We know, however, that we can only bring about change from within ourselves – and we know how hard it is, in everyday life, to go beyond words and make a real contribution to defending these shared values. In this spirit, we have to ask ourselves whether we are using our room for maneuver to defend these values, here and far away. Yet precisely when the current wars and crises still seem far away, it is important to actively live these values within our own team and as part of an ethically oriented corporate culture – and to keep questioning ourselves.

In 2023, we want to be there for you even more

Our most important goal, however, is a selfish one: we will take even more time for workshops, professional development, internal processes and internal knowledge sharing. That means we will deliberately have less time for client projects.

We will expand our team, both in events and in IT.
We will expand our collaboration with other foresight specialists in the Advanced Foresight Group.
In design, thanks to design thinking, there will be more rapid prototyping. Instead of PowerPoint and Excel skills, we’ll train our hands more to give more room to thinking with our bodies and to our own abilities.
We ourselves have been an independent software provider for 17 years. As for our software PEACOQ, we will continue to expand its AI capabilities and accessibility. The long-awaited cloud service is finally coming, making innovation contests and Foresight & Ideation more accessible.
We have finished renovating our new workshop space and are making it available as a social venue. Planning a gathering? Want to move people? Then just book it.

Of course, we also have some wishes for you – our clients and partners

Try to act less short-term! We can quickly build things that shine, but we care more about substance – and that takes time. Please involve us in the ideation process! Yes, we make things more complicated and question the purpose.

Please don’t see us as a service provider that can fulfill every wish. We are agile and flexible. We tend to take things on when necessary. But a division of labor is always the be-all and end-all.

So what now? Maybe we simply take some time for reflection. The world changes only through example, not through opinion alone. Let’s not be too hard on ourselves. Let’s use our influence, our reach and our enthusiasm for a community worth living in. Let’s stay active!

Whatever we take on, let’s make something of it! At our own pace, with our passion and, above all, with a »Why!« (the »inner cause«).
