For the third year in a row, Schaltzeit GmbH, together with EIT ICT Labs Germany GmbH and its partner cisLogic, is building – on behalf of Deutsche Telekom and with support from T-Labs, Hub:raum, Kitchen Budapest and Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe – the competition platform for the “Telekom Innovation Contest” (TIC15). We are especially pleased to have been selected once again as EIT ICT Labs Germany’s technology partner to build the TIC15 competition platform. Deutsche Telekom places great emphasis on data protection, and we are glad to be able to meet these requirements.
The competition software developed by us and cisLogic is PEACOQ Create. The system has been in practical use for more than seven years, enabling ideas on specific questions to be shared in protected spaces. The competition platform ensures fair conditions of participation and targeted protection of ideas so that collaboration can be built on trust. When we win participants’ trust, the competition succeeds too. Hosting 100% in Germany, two separate systems, and a sophisticated backup system provide the necessary security.
Software developer Thomas Stark sees potential attacks on the platform as a challenge in their own right. “It’s like real life: some people try to take a shortcut and win by manipulating the ratings. Others resent the activities of large corporations. And still others are interested in gaining unrestricted access to good ideas. We put a technical stop to all of that.”
The Telekom Innovation Contest 2015 was officially launched on September 5 at the “Lange Nacht der Startups” (Long Night of Startups) by Dr. Heinrich Arnold, Senior Vice President Innovation & Laboratories at Deutsche Telekom and Global Head of Telekom Innovation Laboratories. Tim Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom AG, personally congratulated Berlin startup shopboostr on winning the first “wildcard” to take part in the exclusive innovation event Expo in Budapest. Startups and individuals with their own ideas can win their ticket to Budapest by entering the contest. This year, Deutsche Telekom is looking for ideas and startups in the following areas: Future Communication Smart Data Analytics Industry 4.0/Internet of Things. Take part & develop your own idea further! True to this year’s motto “You create. We connect.”
