Invitation to an after-work meetup with input & food for thought on “AI agents” and “virtualized personas” on February 29, 2024
Joking aside: to mark the leap day, we’d like to invite you to our office in Prenzlauer Berg to explore how we interact with AI. Want to know what happens when you “data-donate” your biography to an AI as a persona? Then drop by our little AI experiment on leap day.
It will be thought-provoking and provocative. Together, we want to discuss what it means to feed an AI with snippets of our own identity. Several AI tinkerers and futurists will put their statements up for discussion: over snacks and drinks, there will be fresh keynote talks on how far we can – and want to – virtualize human personalities. What does that do to us? What consequences could it have?
What if we could virtualize ourselves? What if…
- I hand over work to my virtual self? Does it think and respond the way I do? Can I even multiply myself?
- I could ask my friends for their opinion and perspective at any time...
- I could “rehearse” a relationship argument with my virtualized husband – to be prepared – or delegate the discussion straight to our two virtual selves?
- I could talk to my late aunt to ease the pain of saying goodbye?
- Would we still go out and demonstrate on our own two feet, or rather stay on the couch? Do I send my persona to the Wahl-O-Mat (Germany’s voting advice app) by default?
Too much Black Mirror? Then come by and share your perspective with us. And if your fingers are itching, don’t hold back: at various stations, you can experiment with us, feeding your biographies and perspectives into the AI. Voluntarily, of course – nothing is required, everything is possible!
How far can and do we want to transfer human expertise and perspectives to virtualized personas?
What does that do to us? What does it say about our understanding of knowledge? We’ll provide some roughly built AI personas to try out and invite you to create small personas yourself and experiment with them. We also want to make plenty of room for discussing the opportunities and risks such AI applications can bring. For this, there will be fresh keynote talks by AI tinkerers and futurists over snacks and drinks 🤔🕹️🍿. A triad of trying out, understanding and discussing “virtualized personas.”
