Our successful collaboration with Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen (AZO) continues. Following the technical implementation of the international innovation competition European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC), our IT solution is now also being used for another idea competition organized by AZO, the GMES Masters. Participants in the competition can conveniently submit their ideas online via a web portal. The experts can view and evaluate the ideas directly on the platform. The software thus simplifies the management and evaluation processes.
The competition
GMES Masters is a new idea competition that is taking place for the first time in 2011 and will annually honor the best application ideas and services that use data from the European Earth observation program GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) in new ways. GMES Masters is held on the initiative of the European Space Agency (ESA), the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and T-Systems.
Take part!!
GMES Masters 2011 calls on students, entrepreneurs, developers and SMEs to develop market-oriented applications that make use of GMES data. By September 15, 2011, you can submit application and business ideas in one of five categories – the so-called “Challenges” – viahttp://www.gmes-masters.com to take part. The main winner – the GMES Master – receives prize money of 20,000 euros.
The software
The recipe for success of the Schaltzeit IT solution lies in a freely configurable workflow that can map any (innovation) process. Sophisticated group and user management enables collaborative work, while the highly configurable permissions system allows different views and levels of access to one and the same content. Thanks to the modular structure, a workflow can be put together quickly and cost-effectively from individual, mutually adapted building blocks and then configured to match the client’s individual specifications exactly.
Schaltzeit’s in-house graphic design department adapts the user interface to the client’s corporate identity. For many years, IT developments have been implemented with our experienced partner, the Berlin software company cisLogic GmbH. The resulting software developments, e.g., for Deutsche Telekom Laboratories, provide a solid foundation for the collaboration with AZO.
